It’s unknown if this particular plant is true D. mantissa or a closely related species. The flowers are slightly smaller and more closed up than typical D. mantissa, though some intraspecific variation is to be expected.
This species has some of the smallest flowers of the genus, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in quantity! A single plant can have dozens of flowers poking out in all directions making it a lot of fun to grow. This species could do well in a terrarium, although it does prefer temps on the cooler side. Ships potted.
