Collection: Nepenthes

Tropical pitcher plants are lianas (climbing, woody vines) that primarily come from the jungles of Southeast Asia, with diversity hotspots in the Philippines, Borneo, and Sumatra. These should be treated more like tropical epiphytes than bog plants since they prefer an airy substrate that is kept damp, but not soggy. We prefer using pure coco chips for most species, but a mixture of sphagnum moss and perlite works well also.
