A rare terrestrial species from Madagascar that is one of the largest of the genus. Leaves can be over a foot long (though they typically only produce one during the growing season) and a large bunch of flowers sits atop a 15” spike. A stunning species in a criminally underrepresented genus.
Plants in the genus Cynorkis go dormant for several months. Keep them lightly damp during dormancy and even,y moist during their growing phase.
